Vincent Van Dog’s Story
A 9-year-old Labrador Retriever mix whose gentle nature and unconditional love have made him an irreplaceable member of his family. More than just a pet, Vincent has been a loyal best friend, offering comfort, confidence, and companionship through life’s most challenging moments. 🐕
In May 2026, Vincent Van Dog was diagnosed with anal gland adenocarcinoma, a form of cancer that came as a devastating shock to his family. Determined to give him the best possible chance, they sought specialist veterinary care as quickly as possible.
With support from the Zeus and PJ Charitable Foundation, Vincent Van Dog’s application for treatment was approved, allowing him to undergo surgical removal of the affected anal gland and abdominal lymph nodes. Following his successful surgery, he continues to receive ongoing adjunctive treatment as part of his recovery.
Vincent has been a constant source of love and support throughout his family’s lives, and we are proud to stand beside him in his fight against cancer, helping him continue to be the devoted companion his family treasures.

Vincent Van Dog means the world to us. For me, he has been there through thick and thin and has been my best friend for over eight years. He is kind, loving, and seems to love everyone and everything he meets.Daniel
But he is so much more than just a dog to us. He has been a source of support and comfort, and he has made a huge difference in my partner's life. She has epilepsy, and having Vincent by her side has done so much for her confidence and wellbeing.
His loving nature has always been there whenever she has needed support.
He has also been an incredible support to me. As someone with ASD, my emotional wellbeing is very important, and Vincent always seems to know when I need him.
Whenever I am upset, he comes over to give me love and comfort. He is such an important part of my life and our family.
When we heard about his cancer diagnosis, it honestly broke us.
We felt lost and had no idea what to do. But thanks to Zeus and PJ, there is now hope in our lives again. We cannot thank them enough for standing beside us and helping us in this fight.
